Clincher Tyre

A clincher is the most common type of bicycle tyre. The tyre has a stiff "bead" that hooks under a lip on the rim, and an inner tube inside the tyre holds the air.
Clinchers are easy to install, easy to repair (replace or patch the tube), and inexpensive. They're the default tyre type on the majority of bikes worldwide.
Many modern "tubeless-ready" tyres can also be used as clinchers with a tube fitted, providing flexibility for riders who don't want to commit to tubeless setup.
