BB30

BB30 is a bottom bracket standard that uses a 30mm crank spindle and a 42mm internal frame shell. The bearings press directly into the frame, with no threaded cups.
The standard was developed by Cannondale and later opened up to other brands. It's known for offering a larger spindle (and therefore a stiffer interface) than older 24mm standards, but press-fit installation can be sensitive to frame tolerances and is occasionally associated with creaking if not installed precisely.
Many cranks designed around BB30 can also be fitted to other shells (BSA, T47, etc.) using the appropriate adapter cups. Always check compatibility before buying.
